About me

The first selfie I took with my Nikon

Brief intro

I am a avid photographer, traveler, blogger and adventurer.
This website / blog is to showcase my work and document my journey as a avid photographer.

I plan on moving to a more professional looking website (Squarespace) soon
but for now I hope my photography can speak for itself.

I completed an extensive online
photography course with 100% pass mark on ever exam.

Where did it all begin?

I have been interested in photography and videography ever since I picked up my first disposable camera on holiday when I was young.  The first time I really took photography seriously was when I photographed an anti-racism demonstration in Bolton.  I was at university at the time and I attended the demonstration that was near my campus mainly out of curiosity.  I took my point and shoot camera with me and ended up taking some great photos and videos of what was an intense and emotionally charged public event.

After graduating from university with a 2.1 in Civil Engineering I moved to Australia and bought my first DSLR.

After returning from Australia I returned to work in the Engineering sector and continued

During my time in Central America I photographed a tour group throughout Mexico.

I then worked in a hostel in Antigua, Guatemala where I photographed the hostel's weekly pub crawl.  I well documented event that is recommended by Lonely Planet.  I also photographed all the rooms in the hostel for use on their website and I was hired by the hostel owner to shoot a session at a local gymnasium.

During this time I also photographed the Semana Santa (Holy Week) processions that happen during Easter.  One of my photos was published by the BBC on the "photos of the week" section.

I continued to travel my way around Central America and photographed many amazing things.

I took part in a voluntary beach cleanup with Sea Shepard during which I took photos of the event and gave my photos to Sea Shepard who used them on their Facebook page.

By this point I had taken over 40,000 photos (according to the shutter count on my camera)

Where are you now?

Since traveling around Central America I have returned to my home of Manchester, England.

Are you looking for work?

In short, yes I am.  I believe I have the skills and gear to deliver on any photography assignment.  As an amateur the only thing I lack is professional experience which is an area I plan on building upon.  If you like my work and are interested please email me at.
